An IT manager today must have a forward-looking view of the role of IT in the business and anticipate changes, business needs and resources available. This need is driven by the current transition to the digital enterprise and is a major factor in delivering new business products and services. It requires significant changes in the execution of the business within the organization and also within the Information Technology organization. IT is becoming the main infrastructure of the business and, as such, the IT manager has to understand the strategic implications of each IT solution or service affecting the organization.

Bearing the above in mind, this course focuses on the challenging transition occurring both within IT and in the dynamic changes emerging and evolving in the relationship between IT and the business.
