A key technique for digital transformation
There is little doubt that applying automation to established processes or building it in when new ones are created will yield a positive result. However, you want to determine what the best opportunities are so you can optimize those results. Rather than relying on intuition or reacting to the loudest complaints, as is often the starting point for automation projects, you can apply some clear and easy to use analytics to identify in an objective manner just where those opportunities are located. The two key techniques we use here are:
1. Statistical - A statistical type of custom algorithm that works with several process properties at one time. The outcome produces a ranked list of processes or process steps that are candidates for automation or improved automation.
2. Artificial Intelligence - A predictive neural net approach that points to the most impactful factor to fix or focus on when applying automation. It will also identify the degree of contribution to the goal you have.
